KeenMind Lab is a small site with one job: let you measure a handful of human performances — reaction, clicking, aiming, typing, memory — in the time it takes to waste a minute, and tell you honestly where that number sits.
How the tests work
Every game starts instantly. There is no account, no tutorial, and no loading screen. A run lasts a few seconds to a few minutes. When it ends you see a score, a percentile against a hardcoded distribution based on published human ranges and large online samples, and a personal best stored in your browser's localStorage. We do not upload scores. There is no global leaderboard in v1, because a client-side leaderboard is a lie.
Percentiles are interpolated from realistic curves, not from this site's traffic (which would be biased toward people who search “CPS test” at 2 a.m.). They are capped at 1–99% so nobody is told they are the fastest organism alive.
The tests
- Reaction Time Test — How fast can you respond when the screen goes green?
- Click Speed Test — How many clicks per second can you land? The classic CPS test.
- Aim Trainer — Hit 30 targets as fast as you can. Precision under a clock.
- Typing Speed Test — Measure your WPM and accuracy on real English words.
- Sequence Memory Test — Watch the tiles flash. Repeat the pattern. It only gets longer.
- Number Memory Test — A number appears. Then it's gone. How many digits can you hold?
- Visual Memory Test — Squares flash white. Click them all back. Three lives.
- Chimp Test — Numbers scatter, then hide. Tap them in order. Start at 4.
- Spacebar Speed Test — How many spacebar presses can you land? Live presses per second.
- Keyboard Tester — Press any key. See it light up. Find the switch that failed.
- Double Click Test — Catch a failing mouse switch. Intervals under 80ms get flagged.
- 2048 — Slide tiles, merge them, reach 2048. Undo, swipe, and a best score.
Ads and money
The site is free. If ads are approved they will appear on result screens and in the articles below the games — never inside a play area, never next to a click pad. Click-speed tests that sit ads under a 10 CPS cursor generate invalid traffic and get AdSense accounts banned. We will not do that. There is also a discreet “Support the dev” link in the footer, on result screens, and on the contact page if you want to skip the ad model entirely.
Privacy, in one paragraph
Scores and theme preference live on your device. Analytics, when a measurement ID is installed, fire game_started, game_completed, and game_retried so we can see which tests people actually finish. No login. No sale of personal data, because we do not have a profile to sell. Details live on the privacy policy and terms.
Not affiliated
KeenMind Lab is not affiliated with Human Benchmark, Aimbooster, Monkeytype, or any other testing site. The tasks are public-domain ideas (simple RT, digit span, CPS). The implementation, design, and copy on this site are original.
