At five seconds you can still muscle through a messy technique. At ten seconds the thumb starts to glance off the stem, the wrist climbs, and SPS usually drops by half a point to a point versus your 5-second score. That drop is the information. A 10-second spacebar test is the shortest duration that starts to measure control instead of only rate. Games that ask you to bunny-hop or sprint-cancel in short fights live here more than they live in a one-second firework.

When to use 10 instead of 5 or 60

Use 10 seconds when the thing you do in a game lasts about ten seconds: a short parkour chain, a fight, a frantic craft. Use 5 when you want the search-default number. Use 30 and 60 when you are arguing about stamina. Then take the click speed test on the same afternoon if your jump is bound to mouse 4 instead of Space — the gap between switches is its own diagnostic. Cold thumbs under-report. One discarded warm-up, then a real 10-second attempt, is the protocol that makes a personal best worth keeping.
