Sports as words, not a stats dump
A sports word search is one of the few themed puzzles that people actually finish, because the names are proper nouns you have been spelling since school. SOCCER and TENNIS are six letters with friendly consonants. GOLF is short and will produce false starts — that is intentional, a little sand trap. SQUASH and FENCING are the last ones remaining on most boards because they are less common in American search logs and they like diagonals.
We do not include team names, player names, or score-line jargon. Those date. Sport names do not. If you came here from the click speed test because someone said CPS matters in Minecraft PvP, this list will not help your CPS. It will give your hands a different job for three minutes. Boxing is on the list; the aim trainer is the actual timing instrument.

Several words share -ING (BOXING, SKIING, ROWING, FENCING, RACING). Do not grab the first ING you see. Confirm the leading consonants. That trap is the whole difficulty of this theme. A clean clear is three to six minutes. ROWING backwards along the bottom row is a classic hide.
FAQ
Are team names included?
No. Sport names only, so the list does not age out with a season.
Why is it soccer not football?
Soccer is the unambiguous five-to-six letter American search term. Football collides with two sports.
Is golf too short?
Four letters is the floor. It creates false lines, which is part of the hunt.
